Night Under The Stars

Prom is the event that unifies not only our close friends but this nation. Prom socially ties the bonds of our world and connects them with others across the vast and harrowing sea. Its that one event where everyone can look back and reminisce on volume's of fancy fabrics, pin tight curls, and polished pouts. Since the occasion is on every one's mind (mine included!) I thought I could create a list of my own personal prom favorites and share it with all of my GTF readers. With prom there's just so much to choose from and this post was initially bursting at the seam with ideas. At first, I struggled to narrow the dress count to a favorable amount and eventually came up with 12 dresses for the graduating class of 2012. I really wanted the dresses to be feminine yet fun and factual so I chose 12 dresses that vary heavily in cut, length, and pattern. My favorite is the long pastel pink ruffle gown. I love the flow of the skirt and having straps is perfect for dancing occasions. I hope you all enjoy yourselves on your night under the stars.

Christian Dior Couture Spring 2011

Editorial Addition

I post a vast amount of everyday looks and evening wear ensembles but I wanted to expand GTF by adding Editorial Looks as well. Editorial outfits don't always have to be reasonable or ready-to-wear and that's one of the reasons I'm such a glossy fanatic.I have been contemplating this vampy black top for well over a week and it came together quite nicely in this collective and sultry editorial look.

Floral Floor Dancing 50's

Yesterday a friend of mine questioned which decade I find most appealing. After a long and thought provoking pause I set my sails on the 50's. After all the rich fresh water pearls, full skirted dresses, and floral fabrics are enough to make any girl go gaga. I love how 50's portrayed women in America with a sense of poise and elegance. I wanted to mirror those timeless qualities in this backtracking look. I fell in love with this multi-color Erdem garden dress and immediately got the notion to use the floral piece for today's look book. Not only is it a breathtaking nod at spring but it's also the epitome of feminine sophistication. To keep all the focus on this beautiful dress, I opted for Classic Red Jimmy Choo Pumps, Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry Collection Diamond Earrings, and a Coral Solid Print Lanvin Clutch with a Pearl and Diamond Clasp.

He's A Beautiful She

Menswear isn't going anywhere this season and I admit I am smirking uncontrollably at this notion. Before I mostly saw the masculine touch in blazers and crew neck tee's but the trend has traveled south to shoe's.With the idea still fresh I found a pair of gray masculine heels (I Never thought that was possible!) and had the niggling urge of pulling a look together and posting it for everyone to see.The outfit evolved from the shoe's so the color pallet is filled with gentle grays, blues, and creams. It's important that the outfit doesn't turn butch so I added a few subtle feminine touches like bows and sparkles. I really loved how this outfit included several trends(jean T's,prints, menswear, etc) and was still boyishly balanced.
