Red Rouge and Nautical Blue

Nautical colors are one of my all time favorite color palettes to work with on clothing. I wanted the dress and hair bow to be the center of attention so almost everything else is basic and is a solid color. My instinct was to go with a small pendant necklace but I found myriads of nautical type necklaces and couldn't help but layer them all together. The inspiration for this outfit was a retro 1960's nautical pinup doll so it all came together wonderfully with black eyeliner and deep red lipstick. Now the only thing missing are those Marilyn Monroe curls and that infamous mole!

Slouching From Head to Toe

The Charlotte Ronson Spring 2011 show was very slouched and sloppy in an effortlessly chic manner. The gray beanie hats are a fun and versatile way to wear winter weather accessories. In general, I absolutely hate socks with sandals but with this collection I am able to mildly tolerate them which says a lot.In my opinion, Charlotte tries to portray a Bohemian vibe in her collection and Surprise! Surprise! Sucess is the evident result.

Rebellious Inmate

The black and white pinstripes in the Balmain pants reminded me a lot of the inmates in old Alcatraz.I was sensing a little rock and roll rebel vibe from them so I ran
with it.

Purple Pythons

I love these purple and gray Christian Louboutin python slingbacks. They have a really nice texture and feel to them.I wanted all of the shoes colors to have an equal share in this look so I chose to accessorize with a purple gray Miu Miu handbag and black L'oreal nail polish with a dark navy blue Marc by Marc Jacobs dress. The gold Ninh Wysocan necklace was something extra to tie in with the gold in the zip up dress.

Pretty,Polished,and Pink

The goal for this outfit was to create a preppy look that wasn't boring or to solid and put together.I love the idea of layering multiple necklaces it is a great switch from a single thick or chunky necklaces. Neutral colored trouser shorts are great this season and when they have a small print or bow it adds the right amount of feminine flare. The color pallet was created through the floral multi-colored shoes to keep the look updated and tasteful not bland.

Pink Pop and Glittery Disco

This outfit was primarily based around this vibrant pink 3.1 Plillip Lim blazer. It is so demanding and center front that I originally shyed away from other flashy pieces but realized that what it needed was contrary. So instead of dark wash denim, my first choice, I combined it with a glittery mini dress from ModCloth.com and my signature GOLD accesories. The ring is Jennifer Meyer and the shoes are, none other than, Christian Louboutin.

Rain! Rain! Come Today!

Rain, ice, fog, and hail. What good could come of them? In general nothing, but when I looked at them with an optimistic eye I realized that winter has the only weather where rain boots can be worn (not counting music festivals). So in honor of this drear and drab weather I have posted a few of my favorite rain boots from this season.

Black and Gold

As some of you may know 2 of my favorite go-to colors are black and gold, that being said I decided to create an outfit with the majority of pieces being black and gold. The nail polish adds a great finishing touch to the gold aspect. Its very thick and coats nails with hard and tiny specs of gold.I kept the look updated by keeping the dress floral but maintained the goal with a black background.

D-Squared Color Combo

The D-squared Pre-Fall 2011 collection was a colorfol combination of basic black and white and spring florals. I am in love with the olive green roll up shorts and sleek hair. Dean and Dan certainly serve up a double dose of fall fashion!
