Glossies Police:Vogue

I created yet another new column which I have named Glossies Police. I originally had an entire blog dedicated to this column but I wanted to broaden the horizons a little bit and open the door for other possible fashion idea's. Glossies Police covers the pro's and con's of current fashion magazine's like Vogue and Elle. And what better way to jump start a new edition than with an eye evoking glossies like Vogue. Although Every Vogue Cover was mesmerizing this month I narrowed my favorites down to America,Brazil,Italy, and the UK. It was really nice to see some of fashions favorites like Alexa Chung and Penelope but also to see Plus Size Models grace the cover. I think Vogue Italia sends an important message that you can be beautiful regardless of size and for that very reason I have classified it as my favorite June Vogue (the smoldering stares and vixen thigh highs don't hurt either).

Little Lady

I think it's fair to say that adolescent girls (and some boys) are a bit hesitant to include knee length skirts and dresses into daily looks for fear of resembling our grandmothers. That being said I took on the challenge of knee length persuasion to induce youth with a dash of fashion forward modesty. This Gray Oscar De La Renta Skirt is perfect because it strays away from table cloth patterns that typically age skirts with longer hemlines.I saw this look as an opportunity to add a little bit of business casual to the mix with a blue MIH Jeans button up. Its important to remember to partner loose and flowy clothing with tight and structured pieces to eliminate the bag lady look. I kept the look soft with feminine accessories from Chloe' (handbag) as well as Anthropologie (headband & ring). The sparkly blue Christian Louboutins create a youthful notion that in my opinion completes the outfit quite nicely.

Are The Gardens Blue Gatsby?

I have been contemplating the makeup from the Dior Fall show for quite sometime and I decided to incorporate the flawless makeup compositions into a look for GTF. I love the sweet garden idea and wanted the outfit to narrowly reflect the sweet perfection of soft yet glamorous summer time. To be honest the outfit seemed to just fall in place once I selected the dress and makeup. Those are really the main focus so its fitting that all the accessories have a very solid geometric structure. I can definitely envision this outfit on a grand dinner party guest or on a statement starlet at a blockbuster premier party.
