Viewing Vacation

One of this season's hottest trends are bold colors so I thought I would give viewers eyes a little rest from the typical neon nightmares with a few black and white practice shots. Most of the photo's started out with a splash of color here and there but I photoshoped them into basic black and white to create a contrasting effect.

Driven Directions

Earlier this week I mentioned several up and coming things for GTF and got the notion to not only create new post topics but also improve some of my old post style by adding a different touch. I was so inspired by my inexpensive ring post that I decided to add designers who may not show their collections during fashion week but are still decadent and cool. I love the brand Left on Houston's Spring 2011 Collection because of its laid back romantic style. My favorite look would have to be denim cut-offs with the creme button up blouse but I will be sure to incorporate many of their designs in future looks.

The Row Fall 2011

Pieces from The Row always seem to make the cut for my look books but I just came to the realization that I have never posted any of the runway collections. I think it will be beneficial for all to see the way the pieces are presented during fashion week and the way I have incorporated them in personal outfits.Through detailed comparison It's clear that regardless of what the clothes are worn with, they are always worn in a visually enchanting way.

Violet Eyes

I recently found out through my mother that Elizabeth Taylor had sadly passed away. There's a lot of great things I could say about the Icon but I have decided to hold my thoughts and send my condolences through a self-correcting quote of her own "I never planned to acquire a lot of jewels or a lot of husbands...for me life happened, just as it does for anyone else."

Outlandish Mantra

Italy is home to many fashion power houses and the fashion capital ,Milan. In Milan style is over the top and somewhat outlandish. When I think of Milan Fashion two moguls come to mind, Lady Gaga and Anna Dello Russo. Both are dressed theatrics from head to toe. Italians aren't afraid to take the risky moves of wearing feathers, sequins, flashy patterns, and pieces with jagged edges in fact they crave the bold attention it draws from fearing onlookers.Wearing the same eye-commanding pieces while on your Spring Vacation will amp up your Italian style scale.Purple is really hot in Milan so it was only natural that I add a few shades of purple into the look. As some of you may have already realized I purposefully "forgot" to add a swimsuit. After all there is no greater way to be flashy in Florence than swimming commando in the Tyrrhenian Sea. So go ahead and push the envelope. Besides aren't we advise to follow the Mantra " When in Rome do as the Romans"?

It-Brit

Although England is an island, the clothing in London is anything but tropical. London is the world's capital when it comes to rebellious rockers and vintage tee's. Think Rolling Stones circa 1960 mixed with the crazy touch of Elton John. When it comes to the U.K nothing is to over top so the pieces feel as though they belong to the ultimate high rolling rock star. I wanted the London Look to include rebel worthy pieces as well as current trends like Lace- ups, leather, and Kesha-fied sparkles. I must admit that capturing the essence of London was one of my most difficult blog tasks due to the fact that the best Londoners get their graphic clothing from flee markets, vintage outlets, and the U.K version of Goodwill. A lot of the street clothing that I see are truly one of a kind and authentic in style so don't be afraid to mix it up and wear outfits that would never had made the cut in the U.S. After all a dose of rock and roll could really amp up your vacation style!
