Safari Sunshine

Africa is often associated with rich warm texturized colors like pebble brown, olive green, and khaki tan because of its relationship with mother nature and when I decided to do Africa that color palette was the first thing jotted down on my mental checklist. My main focus was to maintain the ideal African look through the clothing but also add pieces that were realistic and flexible. Africa has an organic feel that is contrary to the geometric American style so I shunned structured lines and boxy shirts and leaned more towards jagged edges and loose, flowy tops. I incorporated clothing that was for the most part lighter tints because darker shades like black and chocolate brown attract heat to the body. Trust me sitting in a group sized Safari Jeep, covered in black from head to toe and drenched in sweat is not the most pleasant way to spend your vacation. My safari advise ,however, would be to safely perch yourself in the center, relax, and use those advanced binoculars to find something (or someone) a little bit more interesting.
